When I say “people of color,” I don’t just shorten it to P.O.C. Because I want people to know I mean color.
We are all of one human kind. But we all come from different walks of life.
Culture and race only so often color your skin, but they will always color your character – form your soul.
If you are a person of color, you are a person of culture. You are a person of race. You are a person of sex. You are a person of gender. Of different and unique experiences that make you a magical being all on your own.
So when I say, “People. Of. Color.” – I never mean just their skin.
